CANSEC 2022 is coming up fast and the excitement surrounding this year’s event is greater than ever. CANSEC, Canada’s largest defense and security tradeshow, will be held in-person for the first time since 2019, the year before the pandemic began. CANSEC 2022 is scheduled for June 1 and 2 at the EY Centre in Ottawa and is sponsored by the Canadian Association of Defence and Security Industries (CADSI).
Why CANSEC Counts
CANSEC is where military and government decision makers, prime contractors, and companies from across the defense and security supply chain tackle the hottest topics and discuss the latest developments. Elasto Proxy, a leading provider of sealing and insulation solutions, will join forces with this elite group and livestream from Booth 913. Tune in for a preview of each day’s events and interviews with attendees.

Reporting for Duty
For over 30 years, Elasto Proxy has served the global defense and security industry from our headquarters near Montreal, Quebec. Since our founding in 1989, we’ve opened branches near Toronto, Canada; in Simpsonville, South Carolina (USA); and, most recently, in Belgium. As a family-owned Canadian company, we believe in long-term relationships and are committed to your success.
Today, Elasto Proxy is ISO 9001:2015 and AS 9100 D certified. We also hold a Controlled Goods Certificate and can readily draw upon our 30+ years of experience as a defense contractor. Elasto Proxy prides itself on providing primes with innovative solutions such as our thermal-acoustic insulation for military ground vehicles. We’ve also supported subcontractors and fabricated components for naval operations.
Strengthening the Supply Chain
For years, military contractors have known that they can count on Elasto Proxy for low-to-medium volumes of parts like door seals, window channels, and hatch seals. We also supply personnel protection pads for confined spaces, vibration mounts for electronic displays, and headliners and flooring for vehicles and equipment that need acoustic insulation.
Elasto Proxy’s support for the defense and security industry includes:
- thermal insulation for inside of engine bays
- seals for engine exhaust and amphibious equipment
- plastic parts for push-button tents
- rubber parts for mine resistant ambush protected (MRAP) vehicles
With our waterjet cutting, lamination, and taping capabilities, we can also supply you with sandwich-style thermal-acoustic insulation that provides a complete solution and arrives ready to install. Because there’s no tooling to pay for or wait for, water jet cutting is also ideal for prototyping, the production of one-off spares, and reverse engineering projects for obsolete parts.
Countering New Threats
Today, the threat of electronic warfare is growing as military systems pack higher levels of heat-generating electronic content into smaller places. To protect sensitive circuits against electromagnetic interference (EMI) and high temperatures, electronic enclosures need EMI gaskets that can handle the heat while combining electrical conductivity with environmental sealing.
That’s why Elasto Proxy offers EMI gaskets made from military-grade silicones and fluorosilicones that contain metal or metal-coated particles. We can also provide you with thermally conductive silicones that help to move heat away from sensitive electronic components and toward heat sinks. Silicone gaskets that are electrically or thermally conductive are also used in vehicle electrification projects
