Teardrop trailer parts include fender flares, edge trim, acoustic insulation, door seals, window seals, storage box seals and anti-slip grip tapes. Although these industrial rubber products are also used on other types of recreational trailers, they’re especially popular with teardrop trailers – a compact, lightweight travel trailer which gets its name from its teardrop profile.

Elasto Proxy supplies teardrop trailer manufacturers with fabricated rubber parts and coils of extruded rubber products. Whether you’re searching for a new vendor, reshoring your supply chain, or looking to add value beyond just distribution, we’re here to help. Fender Flares

Fender flares fit over the wheel well and provide protection against mud, water, and debris. Whether you’re traveling on the highway or in the campground, trailer tires can kick-up small rocks that ding, dent, and damage trailer bodies. You can also kick-up stones that damage your two vehicle. The fender flares that Elasto Proxy supplies are easy-to-install and last a long time under outdoor conditions.

Edge Trim

Edge trim is used to protect exposed metal edges on sheet metal surfaces such as the rear hatches on teardrop trailers. These industrial rubber protects also protect the people who come into contact with metal surfaces and provide environmental sealing. Protective edge trim seals for recreational trailers are U-shaped so that the retainer can be pressed over the metal edge.

Acoustic Insulation

Acoustic insulation absorbs, transmits, or redirects sound waves – vibrations in the air that pass through objects and result in audible sound. Noise, or unwanted sound, is measured in decibels and has a specific frequency distribution. Elasto Proxy can fabricate acoustic insulation that’s “tuned” to address specific frequencies, such as engine noise from nearby vehicles.

Door Seals

Door seals for teardrop trailers need to accommodate rounded corners. Bulb trim, a dual durometer rubber product with separate bulb and trim sections, is well-suited for the task. The softer bulb forms a reliable seal when the entry door is closed. The harder trim, or retainer, section is pressed into place over the flange and can have an integral tongue or metal clips to promote attachment.

Window Seals

The window seals in teardrop trailers are D-shaped rubber products with a half-moon bulb and a flat bottom. The bulb provides environmental sealing when the window is closed. The flat part of the seal attaches with an adhesive instead of mechanical fasteners. Elasto Proxy can supply these taped gaskets with a pressure-sensitive (PSA) tape for a peel-and-stick solution.

Storage Box Seals

Storage box seals are fabricated from sponge profiles or solid profiles. They provide environmental sealing for the aluminum tool boxes or storage compartments that are mounted toward the front of teardrop trailers. Storage box seals prevent wind, water, dirt, dust, and other contaminants from entering the toolbox or storage compartment and need to withstand a range of outdoor temperatures.

Anti-Slip Grip Tape

Anti-slip grip tape provides secure footing when you step on the metal platform that’s mounted to the tongue, the part of the trailer that keeps it attached and at a proper distance from your tow vehicle. These anti-slip tapes have a textured, high-friction surface and are made of a durable rubber such as vinyl. The anti-skid safety tapes that Elasto Proxy fabricates can also withstand outdoor environmental conditions.
