Doing Business in Brazil
Elastomer Valley is group of Quebec-based companies who have joined forces in pursuit of economic development opportunities. Participants include equipment and tooling manufacturers, custom mixers, processors and suppliers, and a custom-fabricator of rubber and plastic components – Elasto Proxy.
As a member of Elastomer Valley, Elasto Proxy supports the group’s vision of making the region North America’s second largest hub for the research, development, and manufacturing of elastomer parts and products. Close to Montréal and not far from the U.S. border, La Vallée des élastomères is the home of innovative companies and skilled workers who can compete and win both nationally and internationally.
French Trade Delegation Visits Elastomer Valley
Last month, Elastomer Valley hosted a French trade delegation led by Olivier Gille, Executive Manager of the Elastopôle rubber and polymers competitiveness cluster, to discuss potential business collaboration and product development opportunities. Mr. Gille was accompanied by company representatives from EFJM, providers of waterproofing solutions; SACRED, an automotive supplier; VPI-CMO, a manufacturer of castings; and the National Institute of Vocational Training and Rubber (IFOCA).
Elasto Proxy to Join Trade Mission to São Paulo, Brazil
Next month, Elasto Proxy will join five other companies from Elastomer Valley on a trade mission to São Paulo, Brazil. Sponsored by Export Québec and organized by the provincial government’s office in Sao Paulo, the six-day trade mission will run from November 24 to 30 and focus on elastomers, vehicle parts, and plastics. In helping Québec-based companies like Elasto Proxy to develop, strengthen and diversify markets outside the province, Export Québec offers services tailored to the needs of each business.
Clyde Sharpe, Elasto Proxy’s President of International Sales, will participate in numerous meetings to solidify existing relationships and develop new ones. Clyde’s trip to Brazil complements Elasto Proxy’s efforts in the SME Passport program, which is also designed to help Québec companies boost exports and penetrate new international markets.
