Si un joint en caoutchouc a une d\u00e9formation r\u00e9manente \u00e0 la compression \u00e9lev\u00e9e, il ne reviendra pas \u00e0 son \u00e9paisseur d&rsquo;origine lorsqu&rsquo;une force de compression (comme une porte ferm\u00e9e) est retir\u00e9e.<\/p><p>M\u00eame si un joint semble intact, le r\u00e9glage de compression peut compromettre la fiabilit\u00e9 de l&rsquo;\u00e9tanch\u00e9it\u00e9.<\/p><h2><strong>D\u00e9gradation environnementale et op\u00e9rationnelle<\/strong><\/h2><p>La compression \u00e0 long terme n&rsquo;est pas la seule cause de la d\u00e9faillance des joints. Les joints se d\u00e9gradent avec le temps \u00e0 cause de l&rsquo;exposition environnementale. La r\u00e9utilisation du joint peut compromettre l&rsquo;alignement et la fiabilit\u00e9 de l&rsquo;\u00e9tanch\u00e9it\u00e9.<\/li><li><strong>Fixation m\u00e9canique<\/strong> : Les joints maintenus en place par des boulons, des pinces ou des canaux ont le plus grand potentiel de r\u00e9utilisation, mais seulement si le mat\u00e9riau n&rsquo;est pas trop comprim\u00e9 ou d\u00e9grad\u00e9.<\/li><\/ul><p>Pour les joints coll\u00e9s il vaut aussi la peine de consid\u00e9rer la m\u00e9thode sp\u00e9cifique de collage. Les joints avec des coins \u00e0 chaud, vulcanis\u00e9s ou moul\u00e9s peuvent \u00eatre r\u00e9utilisables si le joint reste intact. Cependant, les joints \u00e0 froid sont plus sujets \u00e0 la s\u00e9paration lors du retrait du joint.<\/p><h2>Crit\u00e8res d&rsquo;inspection pour d\u00e9terminer la r\u00e9utilisation<\/h2><p>Lors de l&rsquo;\u00e9valuation des joints pour la r\u00e9utilisation les ing\u00e9nieurs et le personnel de maintenance doivent utiliser un processus d&rsquo;inspection structur\u00e9.<\/p><ul><li><strong>Inspection visuelle<\/strong> : Cherchez des fissures, des d\u00e9chirures, des gonflements, des d\u00e9colorations ou un durcissement de surface.<\/li><li><strong>V\u00e9rification dimensionnelle<\/strong> : Mesurez l&rsquo;\u00e9paisseur et la largeur pour d\u00e9tecter la d\u00e9formation ou la distorsion r\u00e9manente de la compression.<\/li><li><strong>Test d&rsquo;\u00e9lasticit\u00e9<\/strong> : Fl\u00e9chissez doucement le joint.
