Cependant, il peut se carboniser ou se d\u00e9grader.<\/li><li><strong> Flexibilit\u00e9 et r\u00e9silience : <\/strong>Contrairement au Viton\u00ae (FKM), un mat\u00e9riau haute performance aux propri\u00e9t\u00e9s similaires, le fluorosilicone demeure flexible et r\u00e9siste \u00e0 la compression.<\/li><\/ul><h2><strong>Faiblesses du fluorosilicone<\/strong><\/h2><p>Malgr\u00e9 ses avantages, le caoutchouc fluorosilicon\u00e9 comporte certains compromis.<\/p><ul><li><strong> Manque de robustesse m\u00e9canique <\/strong>: Compar\u00e9 aux caoutchoucs polyvalents, le fluorosilicone a une r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 la d\u00e9chirure plus faible et moins r\u00e9sistant \u00e0 l&rsquo;abrasion, au frottement et \u00e0 l&rsquo;usure.<\/li><li><strong> R\u00e9sistance chimique limit\u00e9e : <\/strong>Le fluorosilicone ne r\u00e9siste pas \u00e0 tous les produits chimiques. Certains fluides hydrauliques peuvent provoquer un gonflement ou un durcissement (bobinage, enroulement). Les acides forts causent une d\u00e9gradation rapide.\u00a0<\/li><li><strong> Perm\u00e9ation des gaz : <\/strong>Le FVMQ est sensible \u00e0 la perm\u00e9ation gazeuse, ce qui peut limiter son utilit\u00e9 dans les syst\u00e8mes \u00e0 vide et les applications d&rsquo;\u00e9tanch\u00e9it\u00e9 des gaz \u00e0 haute pression.<\/li><li><strong> Co\u00fbt plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 : <\/strong>Le fluorosilicone co\u00fbte g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement moins cher que Viton\u00ae (FKM), mais le FVMQ co\u00fbte plus cher que le silicone et beaucoup plus cher que les caoutchoucs comme l&rsquo;EPDM.<\/li><li><strong> R\u00e9sistance limit\u00e9e \u00e0 l&rsquo;eau et \u00e0 la vapeur : <\/strong>le FVMQ n&rsquo;est pas adapt\u00e9 \u00e0 l&rsquo;eau chaude ou \u00e0 la vapeur.
