UL50 comprend une protection contre la poussi\u00e8re et l&rsquo;humidit\u00e9, mais \u00e0 un niveau plus basique. L&rsquo;UL 50E \u00e9tend la norme UL 50 et comprend des exigences suppl\u00e9mentaires en mati\u00e8re de protection de l&rsquo;environnement contre les solides, les liquides et les produits chimiques.<\/p><ul><li><strong>Solides:<\/strong> chute de salet\u00e9, poussi\u00e8re en circulation, d\u00e9cantation de la poussi\u00e8re en suspension dans l&rsquo;air et poussi\u00e8re souffl\u00e9e par le vent;<\/li><li><strong>Liquides:<\/strong> tuyau vers le bas et \u00e9claboussures, submersion temporaire ou prolong\u00e9; pluie, neige, gr\u00e9sil et glace;<\/li><li><strong>Produits chimiques: <\/strong>infiltration d&rsquo;huile et de liquide de refroidissement, \u00e9claboussures d&rsquo;huile et de liquide de refroidissement et corrosion.<\/li><\/ul><p>Ces exigences suppl\u00e9mentaires rendent l&rsquo;UL 50E adapt\u00e9 aux bo\u00eetiers ext\u00e9rieurs tels que les syst\u00e8mes de stockage d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie par batterie (BESS) et les bo\u00eetes de jonction utilis\u00e9es dans les t\u00e9l\u00e9communications 5G. Les bo\u00eetiers UL 50E sont \u00e9galement mieux adapt\u00e9s aux applications industrielles dans des environnements int\u00e9rieurs exigeants tels que les installations de travail des m\u00e9taux. En revanche, UL 50 s&rsquo;applique aux enceintes \u00e0 usage plus g\u00e9n\u00e9ral.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><h2><strong>NEMA 250 et Indice IP<\/strong><\/h2><p>La National Equipment Manufacturers Association (NEMA) utilise le syst\u00e8me de classification UL 50 pour d\u00e9finir ses propres cotes en vertu de sa norme NEMA 250. \u00c0 son tour, chaque cote NEMA indique le type d&rsquo;environnement qu&rsquo;un bo\u00eetier \u00e9lectrique peut supporter.<\/p><p>Souvent, la NEMA est compar\u00e9e au syst\u00e8me de protection contre les p\u00e9n\u00e9trations (PI) mis au point par la Commission \u00e9lectrotechnique internationale (CEI); toutefois, les cotes NEMA ont des sp\u00e9cifications plus d\u00e9taill\u00e9es et ne s&rsquo;appliquent qu&rsquo;aux environnements nord-am\u00e9ricains.
