This rectangular setting block is most commonly used as a spacer between two surfaces, such as to stop metal-to-metal contact or as a weather stripping. It is typically not recommended for dynamic applications where there is a great deal of cycle pressure (repeated opening and closing action) as the material will take a permanent set which can lead to leakage. Our general purpose closed cell foam adhesive back stripping comes in a medium density neoprene blend and offers good oil and aging resistance properties. Other stripping sizes and compounds can be supplied upon request.
